About

For Patricia Caruana, design is storytelling—an act of clarity, connection, and purpose. Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Patricia has spent more than a decade creating design systems that help brands express who they are and what they stand for. Her journey began in Baltimore’s creative suburbs, where she grew up surrounded by art, calligraphy, and craftsmanship. After earning her BFA in Graphic Design from MICA, Patricia built her career across agency and in-house roles before founding her independent studio, Caruana Creative, in 2019. From brand identity and logo design to UX/UI and editorial layout, Patricia’s approach blends classic design principles with digital fluency. She’s known for her clean aesthetic, typographic precision, and commitment to inclusive design—ensuring her work resonates across cultures, languages, and abilities. Her award-winning portfolio includes clients from wellness, arts, education, and nonprofit sectors. A believer in creative community, she mentors through AIGA Baltimore and contributes pro bono work to causes such as Baltimore Youth Arts and The Chesapeake Conservation Trust. Outside of design, Patricia enjoys photography, printmaking, and exploring Maryland’s Eastern Shore with her rescue greyhound, Matisse. Her work—and her life—reflect a philosophy that design should always inform, inspire, and include.
